Robert "Bob" Hanus, 58, of Toledo, passed away unexpectedly Friday, December 11, 2020. He was born to Louise Hanus and the late Robert W. Hanus, February 6, 1962, in Lakewood, Ohio.
Bob was the owner of Bob's Tire Services in Genoa, Ohio. He was a hard working individual that was passionate about the tire business. He worked for over 30 years in the business with his dear friend, Eugene "Speedy" Balis. Bob was talented mechanically and could figure out just about any mechanical problem he encountered.
A very religious person, Bob spent much of his spare time reading the Bible. He was a giving and trusting individual that believed that true glory awaited believers in the kingdom of Heaven. He was passionate about individual freedom, loved his country and was a prankster that enjoyed pulling off practical jokes on friends.
Robert is survived by his two children, Chelsea Taylor and Evelyn Makayla Hicks; grandchildren, Adilynn Whitaker and Maya Whitaker; mother, Louise Hanus; and brother, Brett Hanus.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert W. Hanus.
