Robert T. "Bob" Glover, age 89, of Toledo, Ohio passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at Lutheran Village at Wolf Creek. He was born August 21, 1923 to Talbert R. and Anna M. (Beaudrie) Glover in Wyandotte, Michigan. Bob proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force during WWII and was honorably discharged in 1957 as a Master Sergeant.
Bob met his wife Mary, while working at Toledo Scale and they married on July 27, 1963. He worked as an Engineer at Toledo Scale; having worked on one of the first electronic scales. He later retired from Toledo Scale in 1974. Bob also was a retired Amateur Ham Operator, W8EZO. In his spare time he enjoyed tinkering in his shop, woodworking, locksmithing, the computer and he especially enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 50 years, Mary; daughters, Toni (James) Estes and Diane Arnold; grandchildren, James (Cindy) Estes, Debi Riley, Michael (Tina) Estes, Lisa (Paul) Cunningham and Jackie (Chris) Wilkins; brother, Doug (Helen) Glover; 16 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive guests on Sunday, February 24, 2013 from 2-6:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin in the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 25, 2013. Interment will follow in North Oregon Cemetery, Oregon, Ohio.
