Robert Gildemeister

Robert M. "Rock" Gildemeister, age 59, of Toledo, passed away Thursday, August 25, 2011 at the University of Toledo Medical Center. He was born on August 25, 1952 to Larry and Helen (Naggs) Gildemeister in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Rock was a collector for 8 years with UCB. He loved all sports and was an avid fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes, Dallas Cowboys and Atlanta Braves. Rock liked to fish and play video games. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Rock is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Dawn Gildemeister; children, Jason (Meagen) Gildemeister, Kimberly Gildemeister, Anthony (Rachelle) Hairabedian and Bryan Hairabedian; grandchildren, Jason, Destiny, Logan, Madison and Paige; brother, Larry (Sue) Gildemeister; and other important people to him, Tina, Jennifer, Ernie and David.

The family will receive guests on Sunday from 12:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). Sharing of Memories will begin Sunday at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
