Robert E. Elgin

Robert Eugene "Bobby" Elgin, age 53, of Temperance, Michigan, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, April 3, 2018. He was born September 28, 1964 in Riverside, California to Wayne E. "Butch" and Judith M. (Lyons) Elgin. Bobby had a heart of gold and was always willing to lend a helping hand to his family and friends. He was a caregiver for many of his family members. In his younger years he drove an ice cream truck through many Toledo neighborhoods. One of his hobbies was 'picking' - he would venture through some of the streets and find the best trinkets, gadgets and treasures! He was devoted to taking care of his mother, Judith and her dog and often considered Spookie his dog too.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving mother, Judith; sisters, Tammy (Edward) Findlay, Lori Gates (Robert Hollers) and Bridget (Wesley) Gipson; nieces and nephews, Steven, Derek, Ashley, Tyler, Wesley Jr. and Paige; great-nephew, Jordan and canine companion, Spookie. He was preceded in death by his father, Butch in 2007.

Friends are invited to join Bobby's family for his Celebration of Life will be held at Samaria Masonic Lodge 438, 1660 Samaria Road, Temperance, Michigan 48182 at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, April 6, 2018.
