Robert E. Goodell

Robert E. "Bob" Goodell, age 74, of Ottawa Lake, Michigan, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 23, 1939 to Charles and Loretta (Godfrey) Goodell in Toledo. Bob was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving his country proudly. He worked as a custodian for Bedford Public Schools for over 25 years before retiring. Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing and bowling. He loved nothing more than spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his niece, Jodi Goodell and nephew, Kevin Goodell. Bob is survived by his loving wife of almost 53 years, Joan "Jo" Goodell; children, Robert G. (Tawnny) Goodell and Debbie Goodell; grandchildren, Dylan (Kelsey) and Logan Goodell; great-granddaughter, Kylie Goodell; brothers, Harlin (Carol) and Phil Goodell; and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Saturday from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Memorial Services will begin Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
