Robert Dwight Caywood

Robert Dwight Caywood, age 88, of Sylvania, OH passed away September 30, 2018 at Franciscan Care Center. He was born September 26, 1930 in Hillsdale, MI to Curtis and Bernice (Dury) Caywood. He enjoyed reading and was self-educated. Although, Bob never received a high school diploma, he became one of the top engineers for Chrysler. Being the photographer for Toledo Goaldiggers in the 70's, he enjoyed photography as a lifelong hobby. He and Janet travelled many years collecting photos, documents, and stories, writing our family history, and created the family tree we have today! He was a devoted husband, father and built his life on honesty and integrity!

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Janet A. Caywood; children, Robert (Cathy) Michael Caywood, Curtis (Diane) Caywood, Daniel (Laura) Caywood, Christina (Frank) Heckart, Sarah (Craig) Snead and Carl R. Caywood; 24 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his son, Arron Caywood; and siblings, Dorothy, Joyce, Harlon, Oleta and Glen.

The family will receive guests Wednesday, October 3, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer - West Sylvania Chapel, 3655 King Road (419-392-9500). The Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, October 4, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St Joseph's Church Sylvania, 5373 Main Street Sylvania, Ohio (please meet directly at church).
