Robert L. "Bob" Burnette, age 53, of Toledo, passed away suddenly on Thursday, June 13, 2013 at his home where he was surrounded by his family and his dogs. He was born on July 4, 1959 to Ernest L. Burnette and Carolyn M. (Mattimore) Miller in Toledo. Bob worked at Libbey Glass for 17 years in the warehouse and he truly enjoyed the camaraderie that he shared with his fellow co-workers. He was an avid sports fan of Nascar, NHL hockey especially the Philadelphia Flyers and The Ohio State Buckeyes. Most precious to Bob was his family, he enjoyed spending as much time with them as he could. He also enjoyed watching Duck Dynasty, "happy, happy, happy." His family will remember him for his orneriness and his extensive vocabulary.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Cathy (Wilson) Burnette; daughters, Shannon, Danielle, Cheyenne, and Kendra and son, Josh; grandchildren, Mckenzie, Mason, Gabriel, Jasper and Cooper; other mother, Joyce Burnette; siblings, June (Tom) Pitzen, Yvonne (Ty) Burnette, Ernest (Debbie) Burnette, Jr., Julie (Doug) Richie, Cindy (Kevin) Menke and Kathy (Ken) Dazell; special canine companion, Shilo, Lily and Pirate; north of the border life-long-friend, Ann Stec and a host of many friends from over the years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Chuck Miller; brothers-in-law, Raymond Koch and Jerry Dazell.
The family will receive guests on Monday, June 17, 2013 from Noon (12:00 p.m.) - 5:00 p.m. Funeral Services will begin in the funeral home on Monday at 5:00 p.m.
