Robert E. Bunce, Jr.

Robert E. "Rob" Bunce, Jr., age 55, of Maumee, passed away Sunday, January 13, 2019 at St. Luke's Hospital with his loving family by his side. He was born November 25, 1963 to Robert Sr. and Diane Bunce in Toledo. Rob was employed with the City of Maumee for over 25 years, currently as a dispatcher for the Maumee Police Division. He enjoyed gardening, attending concerts, taking family vacations to the beach, boating, and cooking and grilling. Rob could always be found on the front porch with his neighbor and friend, Jon, watching the world go by. He loved spending time with his family; especially with Chloe and attending her sporting events. Rob will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Rob is survived by his loving daughters, Kimberly and Stephanie; grandchildren, Chloe, Aaliyah, Makayla, Anthony and Sophia; his second mom, Shelley (Tom) Bunce-Yost; sister, Wendy (Steve) Babione and their children; and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his father and first mom.

The family will receive guests on Saturday, January 19, 2019 from 12 – 5:00 p.m. at Newcomer – Southwest Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. Toledo (419-381-1900) with a Celebration of Life beginning at 5:00 p.m. in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider St. Jude's Children's Hospital, the Cleveland Clinic Foundation or Donate Life America.
