Rita "Oma" Berry
June 30, 1926 — November 11, 2012
Rita (Oma) Berry, age 86, of Sylvania, passed away Sunday, November 11, 2012 at Lake Park surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 30, 1926 in Regensburg, Germany. Oma was a bookkeeper for many companies. She owned and operated Oma's Crafts and Treasures on Secor Road. Oma taught toll painting, calligraphy and other crafts. She was known to be an excellent cook.
Left to cherish her memory are Oma's children, Helge "Mike" (Nicole) Berry, Carmen (Jerry) Sadowski and Tracy Berry; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and brother, Hans Grashuber. In addition to her parents Oma was preceded in death by her son, Tim Berry; sister, Anni Weigl and brother, Sigfried Grashuber.
The family will receive guests Wednesday, November 14, 2012 from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 West Laskey Road, Toledo (419-473-0300).
