Rita J. Pomorski

Rita J. Pomorski, age 83, of Toledo, passed away Sunday, January 20, 2013 at Arbors of Sylvania. She was born on March 23, 1929 to Chester and Florence (Tremmel) Foley in Toledo. Rita was a longtime member of St. Catherine of Siena Church. She was interested in politics, economics and current events. Rita had a great sense of humor that will always be remembered by all who knew and loved her. She loved the time spent with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Pomorski. Rita is survived by her loving children, Gloria (Ron) Toth, Michael (Eva) and Steven (Darlene) Pomorski; grandchildren, Thomas (Beth) Zawisza, Douglas (Lisa) Zawisza, Heather (Scott) Rollins, Joshua Pomorski, Eric (Dana) Toth, Karen (Joseph) Cody and Jason Gears; and 11 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive guests on Tuesday from 2 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). A Mass of Christian Burial will begin Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 4555 North Haven Ave., Toledo, Ohio. Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
