Rita Burt

Rita S. Burt, age 60, of Toledo passed away after a lengthy illness on December 4, 2011, where she was surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 13, 1951 to Walter E. and Mary E. (Carter) Hardin in Portsmouth, Ohio. For 17 years Rita worked at Meijer's as an inventory associate, she always looked forward to her Saturday morning breakfasts with fellow co-workers. In her spare time she enjoyed traveling, playing Bingo and most importantly, spending time with her family. Rita was also a member of the Local 75, UFCW.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Violet and brothers, Don and Ed. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Monica (Chris) Mugavero and Jason (April) Burt; grandchildren, Nick, Kayla and Jacob Mugavero and Dylan and Ashley Burt; sisters, Daisy Cottle and Mildred Hiles; many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive guests Wednesday from 5-7:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will follow in the funeral home at 7:00 p.m. Interment will take place Friday in Portsmouth, Ohio.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.

The family would like to specially thank the doctors and nurses at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo Clinic Cancer Center and the Hickman Center at Flower Hospital for the diligent care that they provided to Rita.
