Ricky Lee Lugo, age 31 of Pensacola, Florida, formerly of Fostoria, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 22, 2013, from injuries sustained from a motor vehicle accident. He was born on June 16, 1982 to Jesus M. and Eloise (Cruz) Lugo in Bowling Green. Ricky was a 2001 graduate of Arcadia High School and following high school he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. His true passion was serving the Lord; he graduated from the Pensacola Bible Institute in May of 2012 after three years of bible and ministry study. Ricky was devoted to sharing the gospel and he was involved with street preaching and various community outreach activities. He was a member of Hope Baptist Church, Toledo, OH and while in Florida he was involved with the Bible Baptist Church in Pensacola, FL. Recently Ricky returned from Europe after completing three weeks of mission work.
Ricky had many other interests and hobbies that he was passionate about. Above everything, he truly loved serving the Lord and spreading the good word to the lost or whom may have been in need. His family and those who loved him will dearly miss him.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Jesse M. (Tina) Lugo and Eloise (Ray) Ireland; siblings, Melinda Lugo and Joshua Ireland; maternal grandma, Oralia "Lolly" Cruz; nephews, Austin Lee Craddolph and Jordan Lee Craddolph; niece, Alycia Louise Yoder; a host of many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. Preceding him in death was his son, Gabriel Lugo; maternal grandpa, Lewis Cruz and paternal grandparents, Refugio (Maria) Lugo.
The family will receive guests on Saturday, June 29, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at Hope Baptist Church, 6250 South Ave., Toledo, Ohio. Ricky's Celebration of Life Service will begin in the church on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jonathan Marshall officiating. Interment will be private in Knollcrest Cemetery, Arcadia, Ohio.
