Mrs. Richetta Morgan affectionately called Ricki, passed away on Monday, March 25, 2019 surrounded by her loving family at Heartland of Holly Glen nursing home in Toledo. She was born in Birmingham, Alabama on April 16, 1939 to the union of Ruth O. Lewis and Alexander Lewis.
She professed her life to Christ at a very young age and was a proud graduate of Scott High School.
Richetta was a mother of five loving children and was truly loved by many. She was best known for her open-door policy; by being a mother to all. She loved to be around her kids and grandkids, loved to go fishing, enjoyed playing cards with friends and took on the role of resident counsel at Heartland of Holly Glen.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruth O. Lewis and father, Alexander Lewis; son, Keith A. Morgan; grandchildren, Terrie Morgan, Justin Morgan and Tyrone Morgan and nephew, Jobie Lewis. Mrs. Richetta Morgan is survived by daughters, Darla Morgan-Ajibade, LaTanya Morgan, Carmen Morgan and Evalgene "Val" Morgan; grandkids, Tina Morgan, Temeka Warnett, Tyler Morgan, Whitney Forney, Amber Forney, Corey Bald, India Marr, Brianna Morgan, Shirley Tranae Harris, Keith Morgan, Jr.; 20 great-grandkids; 2 great-great-grandkids; 1 sister, Rev. Brenda (Lovell) McWhorter; best friend and sister, Laura Parker; 1 brother, Rev. J. Edward (Cynthia) Lewis and a host of other loving relatives and friends; former spouse and friend, Sam Morgan.
The family will receive guests on Monday, April 1, 2019 from 1-2:00 p.m. at Newcomer - Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300) with her Home Going Service starting at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Robert W. Lyons, Sr. and Rev. J. Edward Lewis.
