Richard T. Metroff, Sr.

Richard Thomas Metroff, Sr. "Pete", 74, passed away on January 27, 2013. He was born on September 6, 1938 to the late Thomas and Thelma Metroff in Toledo, Ohio.
Richard was a 1956 graduate of Bedford High School. He retired from Hunt-Wesson Foods in 2005 after over 30 years of service as a Fork-Lift Driver. Richard and his wife, Peggy enjoyed traveling and camping together with family and friends. He liked spending time with his family and especially enjoyed his time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his brothers, Thomas, James and Mike. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 38 years, Peggy (Miller); daughters, Diane Copley, Amy Beins and Lisa (James) McCaig; sons, Donald (Stacey) Beins and Jason Beins; his children, Richard Jr., John, Tim, Hope and Denise; siblings, Steve (Betty), Sue (Steve) Richie, Betty (Doc) Klatt and Mary (Gayle) Clark; special sister-in-law, Chris Metroff; 13+ grandchildren and 3 great-grandsons.
The family will receive guests on Thursday, January 31, 2013 from 2-7:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). A funeral service will begin at 7:00 p.m.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to Ebeid Hospice.
