Richard L. Snyder

Richard L. Snyder, age 67, of Toledo passed away Sunday, June 10, 2018 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo with loving family by his side. He was born to Frank and Luella Snyder on October 21, 1950. Richard retired from GM Powertrain after 37 years of service. He enjoyed woodworking, being outdoors and camping. Richard loved nature and was a Boy Scout Master of Troop #278 for over 20 years. He also loved animals especially dogs. Richard will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his father. Richard is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Peggy Snyder; children, Jodi (Jon Johnstone) Snyder, Angela Snyder, Kristina (David) Friedman and John Snyder; grandchildren, Christopher, Kaitlin, Tyler, Miles, and Kira; great-granddaughters, Dayton and Jaclyn; mother, Luella Snyder; siblings, Terry (Darlene) Snyder, Russ (Kathy) Snyder, Frank (Connie) Snyder, Connie (Gary) Snyder, Deb (Tim) Hepner, and Jim (Gloria) Snyder; and many other family members and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 from 3 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer – Southwest Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will begin Thursday, June 14, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
