Richard R. Hubbard, age 78, of Lambertville, Michigan, passed away Wednesday, May 14th, 2008 surrounded by his family, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo Unit. He was born February 8, 1930 to Victor and Marie (Behrendt) Hubbard in Toledo. Richard was employed with Toledo Stamping for 10 years. After retiring from Toledo Stamping he went on to work with several area car dealerships as a salesman. Richard was a member of the NRA. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and going on cruises with his wife Nancy. Richard was a parishioner of Christ the King Church and the Amateur Radio Club, using the call letters "N8GCR" for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Richard is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Nancy (Couture) Hubbard; son, Richard Michael Hubbard; granddaughter, Amanda Knott; great granddaughter, Karma Lee Brown; and siblings, Geri Wade; Joyce (Eugene) Buck; Fred Hubbard; David (Barb) Hubbard and Vicky Eisenreich and many extended family members.
The family will receive guests Monday from 2-4 & 6-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Tuesday at 9:15 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church, 4100 Harvest Lane. Officiating will be Fr. Mike Brown. Entombment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park.
