Richard P. Bolander departed this earth early Thursday, June 18, 2015 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on January 26, 1945 to Paul and Dorothy Bolander. He graduated from DeVilbiss High School and retired from the former Ford Stamping Plant in Maumee.
Dick "Bo" enjoyed bowling, hockey, baseball and football. He spent many hours with his friends at the Players Club participating in intense euchre games and great debates. He was a devoted Green Bay Packers and Ohio State Buckeye Football Fan. He was deeply moved by the efforts of organizations which benefitted the health and well being of animals, especially dogs.
He is survived by his daughters, Deborah (Patrick) Feehan and Karen (Todd) Moulton; son, Brian (Julia) Bolander; 6 grandchildren; sister, Carol (Ken) Takats and by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Dawn Hall.
The family will receive guests on Sunday, July 12, 2015 from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Memorial Services will begin in the funeral home on Sunday at 1:30 p.m.
