Richard J. "Rich" Mishka, age 77 of Toledo passed away Friday, February 11, 2005 in the Toledo Hospital. He was born November 19, 1927 to John and Hattie (Przyojski) Mishka in Toledo. Rich was employed with Acklin Stamping for 43 ½ years, retiring in 1988. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a former member of St. Clement Catholic Church. Rich was also a member of the Union Local 12. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Rich was preceded in death
by his wife, Mary C. (Corr) Mishka and brother, Frank "Charlie" Mishka. Rich is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Janet (Whiddon) Mishka; brothers, Paul Mishka and Gene (Vivian) Mishka; sisters, Beverly (Al) Harder and Shirley (Mervin) Kreais; children, Larry (Lynn) Mishka; Ronald (Gail) Mishka; Rose (Mike) Mrkva; Lois Merritt and step-son, Tracy Counsellor; grandchildren, Steve (Jennifer) Mishka; Stacy (Mark) Gilbert; Phil (Erica) Mishka; Jason Mishka; Jenni Mrkva; Kim Mrkva; Beth Mrkva; Todd Merritt; Tara Merritt and Aaron Merritt; great grandchildren, Emma Mishka and Brendan Mrkva.
The family will receive guests Tuesday from 2-8:00 p.m. in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will be Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Fr. Ed Littleman. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
