Richard M. Warner, Jr.

Richard M. "Rick" Warner, Jr., age 49, of Holland, Ohio, passed away Thursday, August 25th, 2011 at Spring Meadows Extended Care, surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 12th, 1962 to Richard M. and Phyllis (Hechinger) Warner, Sr. in Toledo. Rick graduated from Springfield High School, Class of 1980 and went on to serve for 6 years in the U.S. Navy. He was employed with Allied Paving for 14 years. Rick loved drag racing and westerns. He was an avid cook with a sweet-tooth for chocolate. Rick also enjoyed riding his motorcycles and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Most importantly Rick was a loving husband, devoting himself to making his wife happy.

In addition to his parents, Rick was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Donna S. Henry. Rick is survived by his dear wife of 30 years, Dianna (Henry) Warner; sons, Richard (Susan) Warner, III and Michael Warner; grandchildren, Hayley, Richard IV and Hunter; sisters, Tina Warner, Ellen (Larry) Fairchild and Becky Bailey; brother-in-law, Bill Henry; sisters-in-law, Chris (Fred) Glynn and Tina (Jeff) Stalter and many extended family members and friends.

The family will receive guests Wednesday from 2-7:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900) with Funeral Services beginning at 7:00 p.m.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the staffs of Odyssey Hospice of Toledo, The Cleveland Clinic and Spring Meadows Care Facility for the loving care and support they provided for Rick during his stays in their care.
