Richard M. Gable, Sr.

Richard M. "Butch" Gable, Sr. age 73, of Toledo, passed away peacefully, Monday, September 22, 2014 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on September 2, 1941 in Toledo. Butch was employed with Roadway Express for 28 years before retiring. He loved fishing, woodworking and taking trips to Frankenmuth with his wife. Butch will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Patricia Schneider and great-granddaughter, Olivia Cline. Butch is survived by his loving wife of almost 53 years, Carolyn; children, Jennifer Schneider, Teresa (Dan) Gable and Richard (Marianne) Gable, Jr.; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 5 siblings; and many other relatives and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Friday from 2 – 6:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) with Funeral Services beginning at 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
