Richard F. Lepper

Richard F. Lepper, age 87, of Maumee, passed away March 23, 2017 at Elizabeth Scott Nursing Home. He was born August 23, 1929 in Toledo to Horace and Pearl (Middleton) Lepper. He joined the armed forces when he was 18 serving in the U.S. Merchant Marines, Navy, Air Force and Air National Guard. Richard was employed as an Electronics Repair Engineer with the Unisys Corporation, retiring in 1989. He also served on the Maumee Fire Department for 31 years. He loved spending time with his granddaughter, AliciaKae, building lasers and robots, electronics and woodworking.
Richard is survived by his daughters,Tina McDonald and Denise Honsberger; grandchildren, AliciaKae Honsberger, Dawn Goretzki, Carrie Barnhill, Aaron McDonald and Adam McDonald; brothers, Wes (Laurie) Lepper and Al (Betty Lou) Lepper. In addition to his parents and sister, Richard was preceded in death by his children, Sandra and Bruce.
The family will hold a private service at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or the charity of the donor's choice in Richard's memory.
