Richard L. Venia

Richard L. Venia, age 79, passed away on Thursday, January 20th, 2011 with his loving family at his side, from complications of diabetes and kidney failure. At his request his body was cremated at Newcomer funeral Home with his ashes being placed in 2 mason jars. "I want to see out and watch everyone", he said to his family, "You are my life".

He is survived by 4 sisters and 1 brother; 2 children, Michaelann and Richard (Rebecca); 4 grandchildren, Desiree (Chris), Ashley (Adam), Brandon and Fiorella. Also surviving are 6 great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Caleb, Jalen, Trinity, Mackenzie K and Kylei.

Richard was a decorated veteran serving in the Korean War. In a world where there are fewer heroes, please know Richard, that you will always be a hero in the eyes and hearts of your family.

So many people who came in contact with you over the years were drawn to your strength, intelligence and your unconditional love and support.

Memorial Donations may be made to the Kidney and Diabetes Foundations in remembrance of him.
