Richard K. "Rick" Hall, age 77, of Toledo, passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at his sister Irene's home surrounded by loving family. He was born on August 15, 1937 to Fletcher and Irene (Wagoner) Hall, Sr. in Toledo. Rick was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked as a machine operator for 26.3 years before retiring from General Motors Powertrain. Rick was also a longtime member of the American Legion Conn-Weissenberger Post #587 and the FOE #197 and former member of the Ottawa River Yacht Club. He loved fishing, hunting, dancing, camping, boating and spending time with family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Iona Mae Schermerhorn, Betty Jean Schermerhorn, Fletcher D. Hall, Jr., Phyllis Chatfield and Alta Hawks. Rick is survived by his significant other of 38 years, Betty J. Brown; siblings, Geraldine VanWormer, Henry (Jackie) Hall, Elaine Swartz, Irene Miller, Carol (Eugene) Carter, and Donald Hall; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
The family will receive guests on Saturday, May 30, 2015 from 2 – 4:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) with Memorial Services beginning at 4:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
