Richard "Rich" J. Horner, Jr.
Richard "Rich" Horner, Jr., age 46, of Point Place, passed away Sunday, November 26, 2006. He was born on August 23, 1960 to Richard and Phyllis (Renfro) Horner in Toledo. Rich was a 1978 graduate of Woodward High School. After graduating he served in the U.S. Army. Rich was in the roofing business for many years. He enjoyed Hockey, go-cart racing and working on cars.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and mother, Phyllis Horner. Rich is survived by his loving children, Richard J. (Erica) Horner, III; Anthony W. (Meghan) Horner; Zach Alessandrini; Annie Horner; and Mark (Marina) Szych; granddaughter, Aurora F. Horner; father, Richard "Dick" (Joan) Horner, Sr.; siblings, Victoria (Jerry) Heilman; Linda (Butch) Spain; Susan Morawski; Catherine (Gary) Rochte; Cynthia (Don) Dudley; Mary (David) Danielak; Patricia (Tim) Ricard; Robert (Pam) Horner; Ronald Horner; Jennifer Horner and Barbara (Chris) Edwards; Andy (Bonnie) Davis and Joe (Annette) Davis. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
The family will receive guests Friday from 2-8:00 p.m. in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300), where a Scripture Service will begin at 6:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Assumption, Ohio (corner of US 20 and St. Rt. 64) with viewing from 9-10:00 a.m. Officiating will be Fr. Dennis Metzger. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Fatima Cemetery.
