Richard G. Holden, age 73, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2021 in his home.
He was born February 22, 1947, in Toledo, Ohio to Lillian (Winkle) and Thurman "Shorty" Holden.
Rick grew up in the Toledo area and graduated from DeVilbiss High School in 1965. He served in Toledo's 180th Air National Guard and in April of 1969 he married Carol Keeler, the love of his life for over 52 years. Rick worked for many years at Rossi & Associates while raising his two daughters, Angela and Stacey.
Rick was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather and uncle. He was a hands-on and involved dad who coached both his daughter's softball teams and served as the camera man for their volleyball teams throughout their high school years.
He loved to travel, especially to Hilton Head Island where many summer vacations were spent with his family. He was always up for a game of Kadema ball, playing in the waves or taking long walks with his wife on the beach.
His grandchildren were the apple of his eye. From preschool graduation, Christmas programs to soccer& basketball games, he was there thru it all.
Rick loved to goof around with his siblings, attend family gatherings and be with his friends. He was an easy-going man and will be dearly missed by all.
Rick is survived by his wife, Carol Holden; daughters, Angela (Steven) Young and Stacey (Jim) Papulias; grandchildren, Spencer Young, Lillian Young, Caytlynn Papulias and Calliana Papulias; siblings, Joanne Holden, Keith (Kristie) Holden and Lynn (Dave) Picott; and many nieces and nephews.
Private visitation and services were held for the family. A Celebration of Rick's life will be held at a later date.
