Richard N. "Dick" Hinz, age 84, of Toledo, passed away Thursday, March 2, 2017 at home. He was born on March 24, 1932 to Norman and Julia Hinz in Toledo. Dick retired from the UAW as a skilled trade Tool & Die Maker after many years. He was a longtime member of the Grand Lodge Free & Accepted Masons of Michigan and the Zenobia Shrine. Dick learned how to play the bagpipes and enjoyed marching with the Shriners. He was an avid golfer and boater and was a lifetime member of the Riverview Yacht Club. Dick loved dogs, leaving behind his two best little buddies, Chance and Sammy.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of almost 60 years, Arline Hinz. Dick is survived by his loving sons, Phil, Allan and Ronald Hinz; grandchildren, Nick (Barb) Hinz, Danielle and Stephanie; great-granddaughter, Claire; brother, Jerry Hinz; and many dear friends.
At this time there will be no visitation or services.
