Richard A. Hilkens

At the age of 68, Richard Hilkens of Toledo passed away peacefully at home on July 15, 2022. He was born December 7, 1953, in Toledo, to John and Nancy (Gatter) Hilkens. He was a 1971 graduate of Start High School. He retired from Jeep after 33 years and enjoyed traveling and experiencing what the world had to offer.
Richard was preceded in death by his brother, William.
Those left to forever cherish his memory are his parents John and Nancy Hilkens; sister, Connie (Achille) Buzzelli; nieces, Carrie Goebel and Cami Buzzelli; nephew, Tim Perry; great nephews, Jayson and Justyn Goebel and his beloved girlfriend, Anna Nelms.
The family would like to thank the staff at Ohio Living Home Health and Hospice for the care they gave Richard.
Family and friends may visit at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 West Laskey Road, Toledo, Ohio 43623, on Monday, July 25, 2022, from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm. Following visitation, we will process to Toledo Memorial Park, where a graveside service will take place and Richard will be laid to rest.
