Richard Anthony Grycza Sr.

Richard Anthony Grycza Sr., age 63, of Temperance, Michigan, passed away on April 30, 2023, at Flower Hospital, after a courageous battle with
Pancreatic Cancer. Richard was born on May 17, 1959, in Toledo, Ohio, to Joseph and Donna (Lajiness) Grycza.

Richard graduated from Bedford High School. He worked at St. John's Jesuit High School and with his artistic skills, Rick Grycza Painting for over 40 years. When Richard wasn't working, he enjoyed camping, going to yard sales, trapping, fishing, boating, and beagle hunting. Most of all, family was most important and he cherished the times spent with them and the memories that were made.

Those left to forever remember Richard are his loving wife, Rebecca Grycza, whom he married on March 26, 1982; children, Angela (Pete), Richard, and Joseph (Stephanie); grandchildren, Luis, Cameron, Maricelia, Emma, Aubrey, Brody, and Ava; sisters, Michelle and Julie; numerous nieces and nephews; father, Joseph Grycza; step-mother, Rita Grycza; step-siblings, Jeanette, Vickie, and Jimmy; and special friends, Jim Fuller and Dan Rombach.

Richard was preceded in death mother, Donna Grycza and sister, Marianne.

Family and friends may visit at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 West Laskey Road, Toledo, Ohio 43623, on Sunday, May 7, 2023, from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm. A Sharing of Memories will take place at 3:00 pm, so please bring a wonderful story to share with Richard's loved ones.
