Richard John Gimpel, age 92, of Perrysburg, OH, passed away December 4, 2021 peacefully at home surrounded by family. Richard was born December 18, 1928 in Duluth, MN to John and Mary Gimpel. He was employed with Great Lakes Towing Company as a Tugman for more than 30 years retiring in 1993. After retiring he found a great love in donating toys to children. Richard had a kind loving heart and great sense of humor.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Gimpel and step-son, Michael (Sally) Lock. He is survived by his Wife, Mary Lou Gimpel; Daughter, Ceal (Ronnie) Lundstran; Step-Daughters, Sandra (Gerald) Spencer and Julie (Michael) Shine; 6 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.
