Richard F. Cappelletty

Richard F. Cappelletty, age 75, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully on January 21, 2023, at Ebeid Hospice. Richard was born on April 15, 1947, in Toledo, Ohio, to the late Ernie and Genevieve (Reilly) Cappelletty.

Richard graduated from Start High School, class of 1965. He proudly served in the Navy, during the Vietnam War, from 1965-1968. Richard loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycles, and had owned several during his lifetime. He was always trying to make people laugh and would bring a smile to anyone's face. He will truly be missed by all who knew him. This isn't goodbye, it's we will see you again…

Those left to forever cherish his memory are his sister, Joyce Bigelow (David Pfefferkorn), brothers, Terry (Pam) Cappelletty and Chris Cappelletty; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to share a special thank you to his friend, Danielle Cousino, for all her patience and help she provided him in the last few years. She was like a daughter to him and he loved her dearly.

Richard now joins his loving wife, Jill (Meek) Cappelletty, and his son, Cody, He was also preceded by his parents, Ernie and Genevieve Cappelletty; and a brother, Ken Cappelletty.

Family and friends may visit at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 West Laskey Road, Toledo, Ohio 43623, on Thursday, January 26, 2023, from 4:00 - 8:00 pm. On Friday, January 27, 2023, there will be military honors, at Toledo Memorial Park, where Richard will be laid to rest. For those joining, please meet at Toledo Memorial Park at 9:45 am.
