Richard S. Braun

Richard Stephen Braun, age 68, of Toledo, passed away April 16, 2023. Richard was born June 26, 1954 in Ann Arbor, MI to Kenneth and Marguerite (Cooch) Braun. He graduated from Whitmer High School in 1972. He was employed with Genesis Village and with Doehler-Jarvis for 25 years. Richard attended Church Three TwentyOne in Sylvania, Ohio.

Richard was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Braun; brother, Dan Braun; and granddaughter, Jayne Harvey. He is loved and admired by his mother, Marguerite C. Braun; former spouse, Debbie Braun; son, Kasey (Cara) Braun; daughters, Jennifer Boyles and Tiffany Edens; grandchildren, Stephan, Jessica, Jayde, Logan, Cora, Aubrey, Zana, William, Cassidy, and Gabriel; brother, David (Diane) Braun; sisters, Janet (Josef) Gerner, Nancy (Kenneth) Kostanski, and Barbara Anne (Mark) Hafner, and a host of family and friends.

Richard was notorious for his jokes and pranks. He had a talent of turning anything into something useful. He had a hidden talent with crafts, and handy with tools. If anyone needed something, Rick was there to help and teach. He had a passion for studying the dictionary and using new words; he was self-educated in many trades. Rick's love for cars comprised attending car shows, reading about cars, fixing his cars, and cleaning them to perfection.

The family will receive guests Thursday, April 27, 2023 from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). Funeral services will begin Thursday at 12:00 pm. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Toledo Memorial Park, Sylvania, Ohio.

Memorial contributions may be made to Church 3TwentyOne or Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Richard's memory.
