Rex A. Strong, Jr.

Rex A. Strong, Jr., age 58, of Toledo, passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at home. He was born on September 8, 1956 to Rex, Sr. and Dortha (Metheny) Strong in Toledo. Rex graduated from Whitmer High School in 1974. He worked at Doehler-Jarvis until it closed, then he became a carpenter. Rex was an avid fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes, he really enjoyed football.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his sister Barbara Carper; and step-mother, Barbara Strong. Rex is survived by his dad, Rex A. Strong, Sr.; brother, John Nickell; 3 step-brothers; 2 step-sisters; and many other family members.

The family will receive guests on Friday from 2 – 6:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) with Memorial Services beginning at 6:00 p.m.
