Rev. Millard Jones

Rev. Millard Jones, age 79, of Toledo, departed this life Sunday, May 15, 2011 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 30, 1931 to Charlie and Parilee (Henson) in Manchester, Kentucky. Millard was a Reverend for over 50 years. He was the founder and current minister at Church of God, Inc., for over 30 years. Millard enjoyed fishing, hunting, vegetable gardening and raising chickens and other animals. He loved his dogs and will be missed by his dog Linda. Millard always looked forward to church get togethers and family gatherings. He loved nothing more than spending time with his family and grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice Jones, 2 half brothers, 1 half sister, brother-in-law, Ed Sumner and nephew, Bobby Dean. Rev. Millard is survived by his loving sons, Millard Jr. "J.R." , Linzie "Dean" (Betty), Steve (Sharon) and Danny Jones; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many other dear friends and family.

The family will receive guests Thursday from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W, Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of God, Inc. 3167 Doyle St., Toledo with visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow in Springfield Township Cemetery.
