"Our Pretty Lady"
Renee McGee-Barry, known to most as "Bookie"; a dedicated Wife, Mother, Daughter, Sister, Aunt, Niece, Cousin, and Friend. Renee transitioned to her everlasting life with Christ on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at The Toledo Hospital.
Our Pretty Lady was born in Toledo, Ohio on January 27, 1972 to the union of Larry and Diane (Brown) Mcgee. She attended Jesup W. Scott High School. She was a hard worker; employed by The University of Toledo for over 20 years! Renee loved spending quality time with family and friends, most of all her children and grandchildren. She loved planning family dinners and cookouts, attending yard/estate sales, collecting elephants, decorating, watching her Pittsburgh Steelers, and fishing. Her huge smile was contagious and whenever you were around her you would experience all the joy and laughter that she had!
Renee was preceded in death by her Grandmother's, Augusta McGee and Mary Brown; Father, Larry McGee; Father-in-Law Willie Sanders; Beloved Son, Dominique McGee; and Brother, Jerry McGee.
Left to cherish her memories and carry on her legacy, are her Husband, Sean Barry; Mother, Diane McGee (Clarence Logan); Mother-in-Law, Anita Sanders; Daughters, Shonique and Monique Harris; Bonus Daughter, Destini Barry; Grandchildren, JaMonte' Harris, Roman, Ramia, and Rolan Allen; Bonus Grandchildren, Lyric Quinn, Logan Barry, and Londyn Fitzpatrick; Brothers, Larry (Katherine) McGee, Odale and Timmy McGee; Brothers-in-Law, Terez and Brandon Sanders; Sister-in-Law Anitra (Troy) Stevens; Nephews, Jermaine, Jarvalin, Juwaan, and Sharif McGee; Niece, Jerrae McGee; Special Aunt, Renee Keiser and Irene Brown; Special Uncles, James and David McGee; Special Cousins, LaTrisha Snow and Temeka McGee; along with a host of other loving Family/Friends whom she loved dearly.
The family will receive guests Friday, April 12, 2024 beginning at 11:00 a.m., with funeral services following immediately from 12:00 p.m.-1:00 p.m. at Newcomer SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). Burial will follow at Forest Cemetery. Family and Friends will conclude at The American Legion Lodge #40, 255 Gradolph. Toledo, OH 43612 from 2:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m.
