Rebecca Sue Jones

Rebecca Sue Hudspeth was born March 2nd, 1949 to Mrs. Ida Mae Morris and L.V. Hudspeth in Murray, Kentucky. She was called home June 22nd, 2024, in Toledo, Ohio. Rebecca joined John L. Jones in marriage on May 14th, 1966.

Rebecca was a beautiful, kind, caring, loving, mother to 4 adorable children. Rebecca graduated from Jesup W. Scott high school. She attended Stautzenberger College to become a medical assistant where she later worked at Mercy Hospital.

Rebecca was preceeded in death by her husband, John L. Jones; mother, Ida Mae Morris; father, L.V. Hudspeth; brother, Danny Hudspeth; daughter, Shavella Jones; grandchildren, Secoyia Jones, Andre Jones, and Jeffrey Jackson Jr.

Rebecca leaves to cherish her memories daughters, Shawn (Johnny) Jones, Shalisa (Anthony) Buchanan; son, Anthony Jones Sr.; a host of very special friends, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Rebecca loved to play Ohio lottery, dominos, and scratch offs. She enjoyed fishing with her family, listening to oldies but goodies, and watching football. Her favorite team was the Pittsburg Steelers. Rebecca loved to cook and spend time with family and friends. She attended Greater Harvest Baptist Church for a number of years.

Rebecca will be missed, loved, and cherished by all that knew her.

Family will be receiving friends on Friday, July 5, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. -10:00 a.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, (419-473-0300) 4150 West Laskey Road, Toledo, OH 43623. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday with burial to follow at Forrest Cemetery.
