Raymond P. "Pete" Piotrowski, age 88, of Rossford, Ohio passed away March 29, 2014 at Kingston Residence of Sylvania. He was born February 2, 1926 in Toledo to Joseph and Josephine Piotrowski. Ray served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a partner with Paben-Harlow for more than 34 years retiring in 1990.
Ray enjoyed traveling, dancing, playing cards with friends and gambling at the casino. Most known for being his grandchildren's number one fan, celebrating all sports and educational successes. A quote he kept near him, "The best exercise of the human heart is reaching down and picking someone else up."
Ray is survived by his wife of 69 years, Betty Piotrowski; children, Raymond (Jane) Peterson, Linda (Michael) Doyle, Ron Piotrowski, Marianne Keller and Marlene (Robert) Sizemore; known to his grandchildren as "Gramps," Jodi, Tammy (Chuck), Mindy (Noel), Chad (Michelle), Bryan, Matt, Mike (Stephanie), Sarah, Andrea, Madison, Jon (Corrin), Liz (Ryan), Duke (Rashin), Nikki, Brooke; 10 great-grandchildren and sister, Dolores Reed.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday, April 5, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at All Saints Catholic Church, 628 Lime City Road, Rossford, Ohio where the family will greet guests at 9:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Kidney Foundation in Ray's memory.
