Raymond (Ray) King, Sr., age 84 passed away peacefully on September 8, 2017. He was born on November 16, 1932 in Blythe GA to the late Charity and Lovett King.
Ray is lovingly survived by Taria Dodson, fiance; daughters, Cheryl (Walden) Wilson & Alisha (Harold) Dunlap; sons, Raymond King Jr., & Ronald King; former wife, Marian Waters; grandchildren, Brandyn Freeman, Amari Wilson, Skylar Dunlap and Bridgette King, 1 great-granddaughter, Aniya Freeman. Ray was preceded in death by his daughter, Patrica Freeman.
Ray loved attending church at "The Glass"' and was a proud veteran who served in the US Army during the Korean War. Ray worked 30 years as Graphic Tech Scanner for Toledo Engraving and 25 years for LaSalle's Dept store as a camera technician. He could not stay still after retirement and worked for a security firm for several years. His wonderful smile and the stories he shared about his family will surely be missed. He was gracious and kind all the way until he took his last breath.
Celebration of Life Memorial Services will be Friday, September 22, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. at the Glass City Church of Christ, 901 Hoag St., Toledo, Ohio 43607.
