Raymond Faylor, Jr., 81, passed away peacefully on July 24th, 2011. He was born on September 26th, 1929 to the late Kathryn (Welling) and Raymond Faylor, Sr. in Toledo, Ohio.
Ray proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He retired after 33 years from The City of Toledo Traffic Engineering Department. Ray and his wife, Ruth were members of the Ottawa River Yacht Club, where they enjoyed boating together. They always had fun camping together with their family; after retirement they spent every winter traveling down south. Ray always enjoyed his times at the Southern Michigan Sportsman's Club, where he was a lifetime member. He was also a member of Sylvania United Church of Christ.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 53 years, Ruth; children, Lori (Mark) Geisler, David (Candace) Faylor; brothers, Chuck (Marsha), Carl (Gerri), Richard (Carol) and grandchildren, Katie, Kelly, Nicole.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2011 at Noon at Sylvania United Church of Christ, 7240 Erie St. Pastor Joycelyn Degener officiating.
