Raymond H. Douglas, 95, of Dundee, Michigan passed away Wednesday, December 8, 2021. Born May 31, 1926, in the mountains of Elk Valley, Tennessee to Mary and William Douglas. He served his country in the U.S. Army, WWII, from 1944-1946. During his service he travelled to the Philippines, survived a typhoon in Okinawa, Japan, and worked with the U.S. Army as a truck driver hauling concrete and brick to build Seoul, South Korea's first airport. In September of 1946, courage, faith, and prayers brought him home.

Raymond married the love of his life, July 26, 1949, Ollie (Thurman) Douglas. She preceded him in death on March 31, 1999. Raymond gave his heart to the lord, January 1957 at 905 George St. in Toledo, Ohio, baptized in the Maumee River on April 27, 1957. He served as Treasurer, tithe treasurer, and trustee under pastors Charles Creekmore, J.B. Hammit, Auzie Vincent, Everette Rogers, Eldon Cupp, Mike Bartee, Tim Walden, and Scott Isham. He was a member of Shelton Park Church, recently celebrated as the oldest living member. Raymond retired from Champion Spark Plug as a tool room operator in 1989. He was a hard-working man that dedicated his life to the lord and his family. He enjoyed automobiles, working with his hands, and sharing music with friends and family. Raymond's strong faith, wisdom, and memories will live on through his loved ones.

He is survived by his children, Donald (Rochelle) Douglas, Connie (Rick) Cochran, Bruce (Irene) Douglas, Barbara (Tony) Komives, and Sue (Earl) Woodson; grandchildren, Matt, Lisa, Julie, Leslie, Brandon, Sarah, Angela, Amanda, Christopher, Tommy, Austin, Racheal, Donald Wayne, Marcella, Steve, Kim, Donna, and many great grandchildren.
