Raymond C. Koleff, age 70, a longtime resident of Toledo, passed away Sunday, March 21st, 2010 at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center. He was born January 27th, 1940 to Steve and Florence (Craig) Koleff in Toledo. Ray was a veteran of the National Guard, serving his country proudly. He was employed with GM Power Train (where he was known as "Izzy") for more than 30 years. Ray was proud to call his many co-workers his friends. He was a member of the union Local 14. Ray loved to listen to all kinds of music and watch his favorite movies. A devoted husband and father what really made Ray happy was spending time with his family, who he was so proud of and his many friends.
In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by his brother, Chuck Koleff. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Margaret C. (Grooms) Koleff; sons, Odis (Tammy); Jessup and Roger Koleff; grandchildren, Odis Jr."O.J."; Jeffrey; Lynn; Dylan; Corey; David; Jeannie and Crystal; great grandson, Tristan and brothers, Donny and Eugene Koleff.
The family will receive guests Wednesday from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Forest Cemetery.
