Raymond A. "Ray" Stoll, Sr., age 78, of Temperance, MI passed away peacefully Monday, March 9, 2009 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. He was born September 29, 1930 to Henry and Bernice (Cole) Stoll. Ray drove a logging truck and also worked as a carpenter for many years. He was a member of United Carpenters Local 1138. Ray loved music and enjoyed singing karaoke and dancing. He was on the APA pool league and was an avid woodworker and welder. Ray was very talented and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Stoll, 6 brothers and sisters. Ray is survived by his children, Vicky (Norman) Naugle, Raymond (Lynn) Stoll, Jr., Mary (Carl) Barnt, John (Vicki Vogt) Stoll and David Stoll; grandchildren, Kim, Melissa (Jason), Michael, Crystal and Max; great-grandchildren, Brittany, Steven, BreAnna, Jeana, Austin, Ryan and 1 baby boy on the way; great-great-grandchildren, Skyla and Rayonna; brother, Wesley Stoll and many other family members and dear friends.
The family will receive guests on Thursday from 2 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Friday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Tim Frass.
