Rayma L. "Mur" Ivey, age 88, passed away on Sunday, September 30, 2012 at Ebeid Hospice Residence in Sylvania. She was born on March 5, 1924 to Raymond and Delora (Lewis) Broyles in Hyma, Kentucky. Rayma grew up in Jellico, Tennessee where she met and married Clarence "Henny" Ivey. She loved gardening and crocheting. Above all things, she loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Hennie Lou Ivey; "son," Wesley McLaughlin and his daughter, Ashley McLaughlin, whom Rayma loved so much as her, "granddaughter," and she is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death at the age of six by her mother, Delora and in later years by her stepmother, Thula (Davis) Broyles and her father, Raymond Broyles; sisters, Freda Kapp and Geneva Heaps and brothers, Lewis Broyles and Raymond Foister.
The family will receive guests Thursday, October 4, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will immediately follow visitation at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Tony Scott officiating. Interment will take place on Friday, October 5, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in Toledo Memorial Park. Friends are invited to join the family at 9:45 a.m. at the front gates of the cemetery for committal services on Friday.
