Ray Jacob Allen, Jr.

Ray J. Allen, Jr., age 89, of Toledo, passed away Wednesday, November 17th, 2010 at Ebeid Hospice Residence, Sylvania. He was born December 6th, 1920 to Ray J. and Ethel May (Capron) Allen, Sr. in Wayne, Ohio. Ray was a carpenter by trade, which he enjoyed for more than 50 years and he was a life member of United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America.

In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by his son, Steve Allen; step-son, Jesse Williamson; step-daughter, Billie Allen and siblings, Fern, Martha, Betty, Jessie, Ruth, Genevieve; Earl, Don, Wayne and Allison. He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Arvilla (Miller) Allen; children, Karrie, Dan (Betty) and Jay Allen and Judy (Tom) Stampflmeier, stepchildren, Daniel, Bernard (Janet), Bobby (Jeannie), Duane Williamson and Shelby (Mike) Willard; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank Ray and Arvilla's dear friends and neighbors, Pat and Paul Czyzewski for all their help and kindness.

The family will receive guests Monday from 2-5:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300) with funeral services beginning at 5:00 p.m.
