Ray J. Didion, age 85, of Holland, passed away peacefully, Thursday, December 12, 2013 at the Spring Meadows Extended Care Facility. He was born on September 30, 1928 to William and Mary (Herman) Didion in Erie, Pennsylvania. Ray was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked at Interlake Steel/Koppers Inc. for over 40 years before retiring. Ray was an avid golfer. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 4 sisters. Ray is survived by his children, Phyllis (Ed) Radke, Raymond (Kathi) Didion, Dennis (Young) Didion, Brad (Dawn) Didion, Brian (Bonnie) Didion, Rhonda (Bruce) Reiff and Ken (Heather) Didion; grandchildren, Mark, Sarah (Jeremy), Eric, Chad (Rhonda), Cara, Linda (Brian), Amy (Chris), Kyle, Haylee, Nicole, Victoria, Evan and Lindsay; great-grandchildren, Megan, Zach, Jazmine, Faith and Ethan; sisters, Lois (Ivan) Williams and Nancy Didion; brothers, Larry Didion and Roy (Anna Mae) Didion; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

The family would like to give a special thank you to all of the staff and caregivers at Senior Independence Hospice and Spring Meadows Extended Care Facility for all of their love, care and support given to Ray and his family through this difficult time.

There will be no visitation or services per Ray's request. The Newcomer Funeral Home, Toledo (419-473-0300) assisted the family with professional services.
