Raul V. Hinojosa

Raul V. "Roy" Hinojosa, age 92, of Sylvania, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at home surrounded by loving family. He was born on August 30, 1929 to Martin and Luz (Valdez) Hinojosa in Santa Rosa, Texas. Roy was a self-employed general contractor throughout his career. He was a jack of all trades and could pretty much do anything he laid his hands on. Roy was a dedicated, hardworking man who always provided for his family. He enjoyed watching a good western movie or wrestling. Roy liked playing cards, Mexican Bingo and taking family trips to Texas and Mexico mostly. His smile, spirit and caring nature will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Graciela Hinojosa; siblings, Sandy Bodie, Mary Hendricks, Jesse Hinojosa and Jose Hinojosa; son-in-law, Mark A. Wright. Left to cherish his memory are his loving daughters, Anna (Tim) Koelsch and Cyndi Wright; grandchildren, Bill Koelsch, Kelly (Tom) Pelham, Sara (Justin) Julian, and Angel Gomez; great-grandchildren, Lincoln, Mila, and Emma; 1 brother; 4 sisters; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive guests on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Ravine Cemetery.
