Rashad Jameel Ewing was born to Kelly Ewing and Troy Jackson Sr. on January 7, 1978 in Toledo, Ohio. He departed this life on October 11, 2024 due to gun violence.
Rashad attended Scott High School where he received his diploma. He became a loving, devoted husband and father at a young age. He continuously strived to be his best self and became just that. Rashad was all about quality work and pleasing his customers. His name is and was golden. He kept his business very professional and always believed in doing the right thing. Rashad loved to be of service to anyone in need.
Rashad married the love of his life, Penee Graves, after 10 years of dating. He and Penee loved life and enjoyed traveling with their close friends. He obsessed over “Old School” vehicles and music. Rashad often spent time on boats and jet skis. He loved to give back to the community and will be remembered as a giver.
Leaving to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Penee Ewing; mother, Kelly (Benjamin Sims) Ewing; father, Troy (Julie Ann) Jackson Sr.; son, G’onnie Ewing; daughters, Taylor Ewing, Ahmoni Ewing and Chase Ewing; step-daughter, LaMia Lamb; brother, Troy Jackson Jr.; granddaughters, Kehloni Howard, Yasmine Ewing, Alaia Wilson and Paisley Reasonover. Also surviving are many special friends and family; special sisters, Nicole and Lakeesha Heckard; special uncle, Jerry and special son, Mason.
Family and friends will be received at the Newcomer Funeral Home (Southwest Chapel) 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. Toledo, on Sunday, October 20, 2024 from 3:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, October 21, 2024 at 10:00 a.m.
