Randal "Randy" L. Taylor

Randal Taylor, age 81, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2025 at Maumee Pointe Memory Care. He was born on September 2,1943 to Ora and Thelma Taylor in Detroit, Michigan. He was artistically talented with a friendly face and a kind word to whomever he encountered.

Randy graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Masters Degree in Art Education. He enjoyed teaching Art at Whitmer High School for 25 years. His real passion was creating his own unique designs and works of art out of stone, wood, drywall, and glass. He will be remembered by many for his beautiful custom patios, fireplaces, water features, sculptures, and innovative home remodels. His greatest joy was working with his father and two sons building a successful business. In addition to his work, he enjoyed landscaping, and was always happy with a shovel in his hand! He also loved to travel, and was fortunate to visit various countries all over the world.

Randy is survived by his wife of 60 years, Donna; his children Chad, Joy, and Wade; daughter-in-law, Kalyn; and his grandchildren, Hayze, Cagney, and Linzy. He was an incredibly supportive father and grandfather consistently expressing his love and ensuring you knew how proud he was of you. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister.

A celebration of Randy's life will be held Saturday, April 26, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. -4:00 p.m. at the Maumee Elks 139 West Wayne Street, Maumee, OH 43537.
