Ralph Lukehart Ednie

Ralph Lukehart Ednie, 91, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at St Anne's Hospital, Toledo, Ohio. Born July 5, 1930 in Avonmore, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Merritt and Ruth Marie (Lukehart) Ednie.

Ralph married the love of his life, June (Mauk) Ednie on June 2, 1956. He was a graduate of the University of Toledo, School of Pharmacy and member of the Kappa Psi fraternity. He was a Pharmacist in the Toledo, Ohio and Temperance, Michigan and known as a favorite among his customers over his 45 years career.

He gave his children a wonderful childhood including annual family vacations and was always there for them through the years. Ralph was a kind and loving husband, father and loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was a wonderful uncle to his many nieces and nephews. He was an avid Pittsburg Steelers fan, enjoyed traveling among 50 states, he went on numerous cruises, enjoyed visiting Europe (especially Scotland, home of his grandparents ) and spending winters in Ft Myers, Florida. He was a member of Providence Lutheran Church.

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents; son, Timothy; brothers Merritt and Richard; and sisters Mylessia and Gladys.

Ralph is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, June; children Martha ( Ron Lester) Ednie and James (Angela) Ednie; grandchildren Alyssa and Andrew Ednie.

Visitation will be from 10-12 noon Saturday, March 26, 2022 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3655 King Rd; Toledo, Ohio with services at 12 noon.
