Ralph E. Westray, age 82, of Toledo, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2012 at Flower Hospital. He was born on December 27, 1929 to Rufus and Zelma (Snavely) Westray in Toledo. Ralph was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and Army serving his country proudly during the Korean Conflict. He was employed at Willy's Overland for many years then became the founder and president of Tri-West Die Company for over 30 years before retiring. Ralph was a member of the Wolves Club, Chief of the Alexis Volunteer Fire Department, an auxiliary Sheriff for Lucas County and a member of the Zenobia Shrine Arab Patrol and Captain of Zenobia Shrine Motorcycle Escort. He enjoyed his annual deer hunting trips, traveling to Lake Cumberland in Kentucky and he loved riding his Harley Davidson. Ralph loved nothing more than spending time with is family and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Westray and granddaughter, Jennifer Westray. Ralph is survived by his loving wife of almost 59 years, Nancy Westray; sons, Kenneth (Brenda) and Jeffrey (Debbie) Westray; daughter, Traci (Thomas) James; grandchildren, Amy, Lauryn, Kenneth "K.C.", Melani and Stacey; great-grandchildren, Jace and Kendra; brother, Sidney Westray; and sister, Jeanette LeFever.
The family will receive guests on Sunday from 2 -8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin on Monday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
