Ralph E. Mccloud

Ralph Edward McCloud, 97 of Toledo, Ohio passed away at Hospice of Northwest Ohio on April 15th, 2014. He was born in Dunkirk, Ohio on March 7th, 1917 to William and Mary McCloud (Baertsche). Ralph married Marguerite M. Jones on July 27th, 1941 in Kenton, Ohio and their union endured for 72 years until her passing on January 30th, 2014.

During his lifetime, Ralph worked as a millwright, and was a member of Local 1393 and its president for several years; the United Brotherhood of Carpenters; Wakeman Lodge 522; and the Scottish rite, High Twelve.
Ralph and his wife were members of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church for over 50 years. He was active with the Retirees Group and enjoyed attending the Seniors Group.

Ralph enjoyed spending time with his 3 children and their families, and he was a wonderful father and friend.

He is survived by his brother Donald (Mona) McCloud, sisters – Dorothy McCloud and Martha Clutter, daughters Sharon (David) Mall, and Janet Barta, and son-in- law Dennis Rose. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren: Jennifer Mall, Aaron (Lynn) Mall, Jason Mall, Andrea (Mark) Hoorman, and Natalie and Lauren Rose and 6 great grandchildren (Cole, Christina, Hayley, Maggie, Payton, Avery).
Ralph was preceded in death by his wife Marguerite, parents, brothers – Robert, Milburn, and Chester and a sister – Beatrice Anspach, daughter Cindy Rose, and Son-in-Law Tom Barta.

Memorial contributions would be welcome at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and Hospice of Northwest Ohio. The family wishes to extend our sincere appreciation and thanks to everyone at Hospice of Northwest Ohio and to his three caregivers – Chris, Zana, and Deb.

A memorial service will be held at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 1825 Glendale Ave. on Saturday, April 26th, 2014 at 12:00 noon with luncheon to follow.
